for the Fine Arts & Music

The B. & M. Theocharakis Foundation for the Fine Arts & Music, and the SeaPort Art Center for Curatorial Research, Athens, present a lecture by New York City-based curator Sara Reisman, Curator-in-Residence at SeaPort.
The lecture examines how contemporary art accumulates meaning in relation to context and audience, and how it often functions as an expression of cultural values. Reisman will focus on art as a space for critique and reflection, exploring the limits of free expression through performance, opacity, and direct messaging.
Reisman is currently organizing Stephen Antonakos: Vectors of Time and Space, a large-scale exhibition spanning more than fifty years of the artist’s practice, set to open at the B. & M. Theocharakis Foundation in Athens on March 18, 2026.
The lecture will be in English, and followed by a discussion moderated by Athens-based artist Dor Guez, Director of SeaPort.
