Festival at the Park 2026 welcomes Andreas Polyzogopoulos, one of Greece's most distinguished trumpeters and a leading figure on the contemporary European jazz scene, to the Ai-Yiannis Detis Park Theatre on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at 21:00. Together with his quartet, he presents a compelling new programme that blends lyricism, improvisation and a constant exploration of new sonic landscapes.

Drawing on his own distinctive musical language while embracing influences from the groundbreaking work of Miles Davis and the atmospheric European soundscapes of Nils Petter Molvær and Erik Truffaz, Polyzogopoulos continues to push artistic boundaries, creating music that is both deeply personal and unmistakably contemporary.

At Paros Park, the quartet will premiere recently recorded compositions scheduled for release this autumn, alongside earlier works reimagined through fresh, more dynamic and adventurous interpretations. Combining jazz with electronic textures, powerful grooves and influences ranging from drum'n'bass and rock to the rhythms of North Africa, the ensemble creates a rich and immersive musical experience.

Joining Andreas Polyzogopoulos on stage are three outstanding musicians: Giannis Papadopoulos on piano and keyboards, Giorgos Konstantinou on electric bass and Panagiotis Kostopoulos on drums. Together, they form a quartet that balances expressive freedom with remarkable musical cohesion and virtuosity.

The concert takes place in the unique natural setting of the Paros Environmental & Cultural Park, on the protected peninsula of Ai-Yiannis Detis. Here, where nature meets culture, Festival at the Park continues to present artists of international calibre, offering audiences unforgettable musical experiences beneath the star-filled sky of the Aegean.
