Festival at the Park 2026 concludes its musical programme on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 20:00 at the Ai-Yiannis Detis Park Theatre, with an elegant musical evening that blends classical refinement with beloved melodies from around the world, by the Dryades Quartet.
With a cosmopolitan spirit and a distinctly summery atmosphere, the programme travels effortlessly across genres and eras, from Bizet's Carmen and Astor Piazzolla's iconic Libertango to the timeless songs of Édith Piaf, memorable film music and celebrated works by Mikis Theodorakis. Specially arranged for the ensemble, these familiar pieces are reimagined through fresh and imaginative interpretations, offering audiences a new perspective on some of the world's most cherished melodies.
The unique instrumentation of the Dryades Quartet-soprano, flute, viola and harp-creates a refined and atmospheric soundscape where lyricism meets the intimacy of chamber music. Well-known songs and classical favourites acquire new colours and textures, revealing unexpected expressive depth through the ensemble's distinctive musical approach.
The quartet features Katia Paschou (soprano), Melina Makri (flute), Krystalia Gaitanou (viola) and Evangelia Kiosoglou (harp), four accomplished musicians who combine virtuosity with sensitivity to create a captivating concert experience.
The performance takes place in the unique natural setting of the Paros Environmental & Cultural Park, on the protected peninsula of Ai-Yiannis Detis. Here, where nature meets culture, Festival at the Park continues to present concerts that bridge musical traditions and artistic genres, offering unforgettable evenings beneath the star-filled sky of the Aegean.
