Get ready for the premier cultural highlight of the Cyclades as the Festival at the Park returns from June to September 2025, offering a season filled with unforgettable artistic experiences at the Paros Environmental and Cultural Park. Nestled within a protected natural wonder of immense geological and historical significance, the Park offers the perfect setting where nature’s beauty meets artistic excellence. This year’s festival promises a rich, multidimensional program - featuring theater, dance, and music performances from acclaimed artists, creative groups, and cultural organizations from Greece and beyond. It’s an invitation to celebrate summer where culture and nature harmoniously unite to inspire and move.
Embark on a captivating journey through jazz-infused melodies from around the globe! For its second edition, Smile from Paris to Paros evolves into a celebration of international jazz, featuring the vibrant voice of Irini Arabatzi, one of Greece's rising jazz talents, on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 21:00, at the Theater of the Park Aï-Yannis Detis.
Under the direction of Johan Farjot, the PSL Chamber Choir will explore a world of sound - from Broadway classics to Latin rhythms and Mediterranean flair. Johan will also be at the piano, joined by renowned bassist Marc Buronfosse, adding warmth and depth to the evening.
Biographies
Johan Farjot
Pianist, composer, conductor, jazzman, co-director of the Ensemble Contraste, Johan Farjot trained at the Conservatoires Supérieurs of Paris and Lyon. He has built up an extensive discography, winning numerous awards, as well as maintaining a distinguished and wide-ranging concert schedule. His career as a composer, doubly honored by the Académie Charles Cros, is supported by long-lasting musical friendships with orchestras, choirs, opera artists and instrumentalists.
Irini Arabatzi
She is a singer/songwriter & multi-instrumentalist from Greece based in London. Born in Thessaloniki, she began her music journey while growing up in Brussels. Inspired by the Greek records of her parents she began to absorb traditional folk sounds but also to discover jazz and improvisation after 12 years of classical piano lessons. Music remained a vital ingredient of her life when she returned to Greece to study law, while also attending the Athenaeum Conservatory studying jazz vocals. After performing all around the country and with some of its most famous artists such as Fivos Delivorias, Marina Satti & Fonés and more she moved to Scotland to continue her education at the Royal Conservatory of Scotland and collaborated with artists like Corto.Alto, Scottish National Jazz Orchestra and Fergus McCreadie. After arriving in London in 2018 she began working on her own songs. Her debut EP "Songs for them", is a collection of intimate yet uplifting songs, produced alongside her brother Manolis. In London, she has created her own local music school "Groove Lane", is working on her next EP and collaborates regularly with Abel Selaocoe and the folk/traditional vocal ensembles Idrisi & Alkanna Graeca.
PSL Chamber Choir
All singers belong to the Paris Sciences et Lettres Orchestra and Choir if PSL, from the Paris University of Dauphine, and other Schools in the center of Paris, very famous Parisian universities. They are part of the Main Choir & Orchestra, and they are singing in most of the prestigious places in Paris, like Invalides, Sorbonne, Theatre des Champs Élysées and Bal Blomet, a famous Jazz Club.
