A conversation between Konstantinos Rigos and Renos Charalambidis, exclusively for the SNFCC Members

Twenty-two years after it was first released, the famous film Cheap Smokes by Renos Charalambidis, which inevitably marked the 90's, as well as the new generation, being so passionate about it, is adapted into a musical by the Alternative Stage of the Greek National Opera. A "romantic operetta" in 34 scenes and 19 songs about Unfulfilled Loves, "Collectors" of memories and moments and kisses, that were never given.

The "Cheap Smokes" musical, in music by Panagiotis Kalanzopoulos and libretto by Petros Vouniseas, as well as the directorial perspective of Konstantinos Rigos, lands on the GNO Alternative Stage at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, for 22 performances from February the 16th, 2022 till March the 13th, 2022.

For one and only performance, in the context of the celebration for the 5 years of the SNFCC, the SNFCC Members will have the opportunity to attend a special discussion between the two artists - directors, Konstantinos Rigos and Renos Charalambidis, on Saturday, 19th of February, at 19.00, in the aesthetic venture of the show, which dresses the GNO Alternative Stage.

Members who already have a ticket for the show and want to come only to pre-talk, can send an email to members@snfcc.org, with the subject "MembersPreTalk", stating:

• Full name
• Member ID and ticket number
• Contact Phone
• Number of persons (* up to 2 per Member)

After sending the email, a telephone communication will follow from the Members Program team to confirm the reservation.

According to the latest measures to protect public health from the risk of spreading COVID-19, a valid vaccination certificate or a disease certificate, is required for the public to enter the event venue, as the venue operates as a pure venue. The above applies to adults. Μinors from 4 to 17 years old may, alternatively, submit a statement of negative self-diagnosis (self test) of the last twenty-four hours, a certificate of PCR (72 hours) or rapid (48 hours) diagnostic test, in accordance with the recent government measures.

The use of face mask and social distancing measures are mandatory in indoor and outdoor areas of the SNFCC, in accordance with Hellenic National Public Health Organization regulations.

A parallel identity check will be carried out on the persons who show the required certificates, as provided by law.

Due to public health measures, there may be changes regarding either the staging of the event, or the maximum number of participants.
