Georgia Dagaki
«From Crete to Infinity»

One of Greece's foremost interpreters and virtuosos
of the Cretan lyra marks
20 years on stage in one of Athens' most atmospheric settings.

Georgia Dagaki - the artist who has bridged Cretan musical tradition with contemporary world and folk sounds - gives a unique, site-specific performance at St Paul's Anglican Church in Syntagma. Part of her anniversary tour From Crete to Infinity, which marks 20 years of creative work, the evening brings a programme of rare intensity and emotional charge.

After an acclaimed international tour and a summer of concerts across Greece, Georgia Dagaki has chosen the singular acoustics and neo-Gothic atmosphere of the historic church on Filellinon Street to offer audiences a rare musical experience. The Cretan lyra becomes the link between past and present, binding its deep traditional roots to bold, genre-defying arrangements.
