"N. Kazantzakis" Open-air Theatre
Konstantinos Vita, one of the most important figures of the Greek electronica, "converses" with the poetic work of Yiannis Ritsos while delving into the poet's inner universe. The performance features a large live installation with original music by Konstantinos who renders in a unique fashion the journey into the poetry of Yiannis Ritsos and creates an extraordinary musical-acoustic experience. The pre-recorded poems are recited by Konstantinos Vita and Olia Lazaridou. The concert features a cycle of twenty poems selected from our great poet's oeuvre presented in a vortex of ambient soundscapes, piano and processed voices that arise from the pages of his poems. Konstantinos Vita embeds the sound of the poems into his sound system and creates new references and new readings of the poet's work.
