A conversation between sounds and
visuals through water
An immersive piece unfolds inside a large aquarium that connects two artists, forming a collaboration born from a womb-like space secreting hidden sounds.
The journey drifts through classical piano, steadfast vocals, and ceramic sculptures that converse in a dialogue of sound and image, carried by water.
The artists:
Natalia Manta
Natalia Manta, is an artist based in Athens, that holds a BFA and an MFA from the Athens School of Fine Arts. Central to her artistic quest is the exploration of the mythological element as a revelation of an inner memory that springs to life in the present, entwining with both local and global histories. While clay serves as her primary medium, she also adeptly navigates metal, wax, glass, and light-sensitive chemicals. Collaborating across various artistic disciplines, including visual, music, theatre, and performance arts, has been an integral part of her practice. Noteworthy collaborators include director Thodoris Ambazis, choreographer Androniki Marathaki, and musicians Jannis Anastasakis, Hayden Chisholm, Sébastien Gramss, Michalis Siganidis, Savina Yannatou, and Evi Filippou. From 2017 to 2020, she taught as an assistant professor in the sculpture department at the Athens School of Fine Arts.
Her work has been part of numerous solo and group exhibitions globally, making appearances at prestigious institutions such as the Korean International Ceramic Biennale, Eleusis European Capital of Culture, EMST, Onassis Culture, and Stavros Niarchos Foundation. She was honored with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Artist Fellowship by ARTWORKS in 2022. Her creations find homes in private collections, embodying a fusion of material mastery and narrative resonance.

Maya Aghniadis
Maya Aghniadis, known as Flugen, is a Lebanese musician, composer, and sound artist who blends electronic textures with organic and experimental approaches. Beginning with drums at a young age, her path expanded through percussion and melodic instruments, eventually opening into composition for film and interdisciplinary projects. Living between Beirut and Athens, her work reflects movement, memory, and cultural interplay. As Flugen, she creates atmospheric pieces that shift between ambient, jazz, and experimental forms, often shaped by field recordings and acoustic timbres such as flute, baglama, and found objects.
Her releases ( Lost Banjo, Dreams & Colors, and Penté ) carry an introspective character, weaving sound into subtle narratives. She is also one half of Almwaya, an electro-acoustic duo exploring Mediterranean soundscapes through improvisation and texture. Whether working independently or in collaboration, Maya's practice extends across performance, composition, and sound design, with a focus on creating exploratory sonic experiences.
