13th Literature in Athens Festival (LEA)

The Greek-Ibero-American Festival "Literatura en/em Atenas - LEA" was established in 2008 with the aim of promoting intercultural dialog between Greece and the countries of the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America.

Tribute: The Greek Revolution

On the occasion of the bicentennial of the Greek Revolution, Greek writer Vassilis Papadopoulos, Cuban diplomat Oriol Marero, and Mexican dramatist Luis Edoardo Torres will pay tribute to the "national" poets Dionysios Solomos (Greece), José Martí (Cuba) and Ramón López Velarde (Cuba). 

With the support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, the Embassies of Cuba, Mexico and Peru, the Abanico School, and the Cervantes Institute in Athens.

Along with the majority of its events, offered free of charge thanks to the SNF grants, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center also organizes certain events with affordable tickets, thus enriching its revenue sources and ensuring its financial sustainability.
