Thank you for your registration and your interest in the event organized by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) as part of SNF Nostos 2026 (the "Event").
SNF is incorporated in Bermuda as a nonprofit organization for charitable purposes and has offices in New York, Monaco, and Athens. The controller of your personal data is SNF's Greek office, located in Athens, at 86A Vasilissis Sofias Avenue, P.O. Box 11528 (the "Data Controller").
The processing of your personal data is governed by this Notice, the relevant provisions of the applicable data protection legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679/EU (GDPR), Law 4624/2019, Law 3471/2006, as well as the relevant decisions and guidelines of the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (HDPA).
Your data is collected and processed solely for the purpose of your participation in the Event and for the information you need to receive about it. We collect only the strictly necessary personal data, namely your full name, mobile phone number, and email address.
With your explicit consent, the Data Controller will use your email address to send you newsletters about SNF events, activities, and news. You may withdraw your consent at any time via the "unsubscribe" link included in each communication.
The legal basis for processing your personal data may include, as applicable, the performance of our relationship regarding your participation in the Event, compliance with legal obligations, the legitimate interests of the Data Controller in organizing and promoting its events, and, in the case of newsletters, your consent.
Your personal data is retained in electronic and/or printed format only for as long as necessary for organizing and documenting your participation in the Event and fulfilling legal obligations. As a rule, data is deleted within two (2) months after the completion of the Event. If you have consented to receive newsletters, your contact details will be retained until you withdraw your consent or request deletion.
During the Event, photography, video recording, and/or live streaming may take place for the promotion of the Event and SNF Nostos 2026 on SNF's official websites and social media. Your participation in the Event and presence in the Event areas may result in your appearance in such material. If you do not wish to appear, you may object by contacting the Data Controller, and reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate your request.
For the organization and execution of the Event, the Data Controller may share your personal data with third parties, specifically the company "Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center Single Member S.A.", in whose premises the Event is hosted, and which provides support, organization, and access management services, as well as other service providers supporting SNF Nostos 2026. These parties act as Data Processors on behalf of the Data Controller, access only the data strictly necessary for their services, and are contractually bound to use it solely for the purposes described in the present Notice and to implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Any transfer of data outside the European Union is carried out only with appropriate GDPR safeguards to ensure adequate protection of your rights.
You have the right at any time to access your personal data, request correction, or, where legally applicable, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, or object to processing. You may also withdraw your consent without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the HDPA (1 Kifisias Ave., Athens, 115 23, complaints@dpa.gr).
