Stavros Niarchos Foundation
Cultural Center (SNFCC)
Thursday, July 16, 2020
The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) popular concert series #snfccAtHome: music continues on Thursday, July 16, at 21:00 with Vangelis Germanos, who will take his turn on stage at the Dome, at the Labyrinth of the Stavros Niarchos Park, with the presence of a limited audience.
Vangelis Germanos will take his turn on the stage with his review of a long career that began in the early 1980s with his album Ta Barakia, produced by Dionysis Savvopoulos. Songs that are like a breeze, with disarmingly pure melodies about tales of love, in the rock ballad tradition. In his concert at the SNFCC, Vangelis Germanos, alone on the stage, will play a selection from his history on his acoustic guitar, reflecting human relationships in songs that fuse universal and eternal questions. A journey through time, with references to eclectic musical genres that bring together East and West, rock and tradition, from the alternative perspective of an "outcast" songwriter who has written his own history on the Greek scene, with a passion for good song writing that is increasingly rare in our days.
The #snfccAtHome: music series, where beloved Greek artists performed concerts which were broadcasted live from emblematic locations within the SNFCC, without an audience, hosted major performers from across the range of musical genres, such as Dimitra Galani, Alkinoos Ioannidis, Natassa Bofiliou, Pavlos Pavlidis, Savina Yannatou, Dimitris Kamarotos, Katerine Duska & Leon of Athens, Stavros Lantsias, Theodore, Νalyssa Green, K.Bhta, and Dionysis Savvopoulos.
