On Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at 8:30 p.m., Stamatis Spanoudakis will deliver a great concert dedicated to Alexander the Great at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus. 28 years later, the beloved composer reunites with the one and only Vassilis Saleas on stage!
 
"Finally, on October 11, God willing, I will give a concert at the Herodion. I had a lot of problems since I wanted to have the new "project" I'm working on ready, but I didn't succeed. Due to force majeure, or visitation of God, I did not have enough time. I will, however, present you with some new musical samples.
 
Fortunately, I always have my beloved musicians and choristers combat-ready, who know me and have been following me for years now. So, I decided to do something I've wanted to do for a long time: to present what I have written, and these are not few, about my beloved Alexandros.
 
But this time, the exceptional Vassilis Saleas could not be absent. So, after 28 years, we will play together again, which I really don't know why, while we have common musical features, it hasn't happened in so many years.
 
My decision was strengthened by another amazing musician - orchestrator, Dinos Georgountzos. Dinos will take the burden of rehearsals and orchestrations off my shoulders, and so, for once, I'll be able to welcome you at the Herodion more relaxed.
 
For Alexandros, then, with Vassilis Saleas and all my musicians and collaborators, at the Herodion, on October 11.

A few words about "GALILEA"
"GALILEA" is a Model Palliative Care Unit, the only one in our country that offers free comprehensive Palliative Care services to cancer patients and patients with motor neuron disease (ALS), through a specialized interdisciplinary team.
By supporting patients and their families throughout the course of the disease, it holistically embraces the symptoms from the disease itself or its treatment (physically, psychosocially, spiritually, practically, etc.), improving the quality of life and giving value to every moment. Its services are provided by 37 specially trained health workers and more than 100 trained volunteers.
Having as a compass the person who is suffering, regardless of nationality, religious beliefs, financial or insurance status, "GALILEA" offers its services, since its foundation in 2010, with a vision for Palliative Care to be, also in Greece, an inalienable right of those they need it.
"GALILEA" in 2022, cared for 782 patients & caregivers, providing, among other things, 1,864 days of care in its Guest house and 5,513 visits to patients' homes.
