Having already completed seven seasons with artists such as Tim Hecker, Christian Fennesz, William Basinski, Peter Broderick, Julia Kent, Lubomyr Melnyk, Jlin, Laurel Halo, Murcof, Grandbrothers, Porter Ricks, Mouse on Mars, Max Cooper, Marc Ribot, Alessandro Cortini, Grouper, Alva Noto, Nik Bärtsch, Loscil, Lawrence English, Suzanne Ciani, Dave Holland Trio, Shabaka, Jan Jelinek, Bill Frisell and many others, the innovative contemporary music series St Paul's Sessions returns for its eighth year with a programme that unites artists from different backgrounds and sonic worlds.

Through the convergence of acoustic instruments, electronic media and digital art, St Paul's Sessions remains a contemporary platform of sonic experimentation, where the boundaries of creation and art expand live, at breath's distance from the audience.

All concerts of the St Paul's Sessions 8 will once again be hosted at the Ioannis Despotopoulos Amphitheatre of the emblematic Athens Conservatoire, where immersive listening and quadraphonic sound lie at the core of this year's artistic vision, fully exploiting the architectural and acoustic particularities of the space.

LINE-UP 2025-2026

Wednesday 29 October 2025
The new season opens with the enigmatic figure of British electronica Actress and the American pioneer of the Buchla modular synthesizer Suzanne Ciani, presenting their brand new project entitled *Concrète Waves* - an unprecedented, unconventional quadraphonic sonic experience.

Friday 6 February 2026
Two distinctive figures of the international ambient/drone scene, the enigmatic modular synth persona Abul Mogard and the American composer Rafael Anton Irisarri, join forces in a rare collaboration, weaving immersive soundscapes full of depth and intensity.

Sunday 22 March 2026
The stage is taken by acclaimed German artist and composer Alva Noto, returning this time solo to St Paul's Sessions to present his celebrated work "UNI-HYbr:ID" in an immersive audiovisual show.

Saturday 25 April 2026
The curtain will fall on St Paul's Sessions 8 with a unique closing performance by three leading figures of contemporary experimental music: minimalist icon Charlemagne Palestine, Australian multi-instrumentalist and composer Oren Ambarchi, known for his experimental approaches to guitar and sound, and British multi-instrumentalist Daniel O'Sullivan. Together they present Palestine's 1997 work "Karenina" in a new version, where organ, voice, electronics and strings merge into a captivating, ritualistic experience.
