On Monday, October 6, 2025, the "Pancretan Union" and the "Labyrinth Musical Workshop" NPO present at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus the work of Vitsentzos Kornaros "Erotokritos", in a new, freer approach, as a musical performance with narration, aiming to give the audience a complete understanding of its plot.

The music of the performance is based on contemporary, original compositions and a multidimensional orchestrational approach, born through collaboration, collectivity, and intercultural interactions among the artists-elements that have consistently shaped the identity of the Labyrinth Musical Workshop.

The poetic text is presented using different expressive techniques, without neglecting the popular style of narration of Erotokritos, as it has been preserved in Crete for centuries.

Erotokritos, especially in Crete, has been a source of inspiration, entertaining the Cretans for centuries, while at the same time highlighting authentic elements of folk wisdom, linguistic richness, and artistic creation-perhaps the most characteristic cultural expression of the Renaissance period in Greece.

In this music-poetic performance-first presented to the public within the program "All of Greece, One Culture", under the artistic direction of Ross Daly-a group of distinguished performers, narrators, and musicians convey, with a contemporary perspective, all the magic of a work that is identified more than any other with Crete.
