We welcome the New Year with one of the world's foremost music ensembles – the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, in the celebrated global music event taking place on the first day of every year – the New Year's Concert.
For 2020, the conductor is Andris Nelsons, music director of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and conductor of the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra; he has been working with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra since 2010, and this is the first time he is conducting this world-renowned music event.
The concert will be broadcast in 90 countries and viewed by 50 million people.
