This major event is aimed at raising public awareness on the occasion of the International Day for Movement Disorders in September, and is sponsored by the Pan-Hellenic Association of Paraplegics (PASPA) at the Herod Atticus Theater on Monday, October 8 at 20.30

The Athenian audience will have the opportunity to enjoy a masterful concert with famous melodies, music and orchestral works by Frederick Chopin and Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, performed by top artists of the genre.

The world-famous pianist Boris Berezovsky, who captivates audiences with his performances and personality (Gold Medal Winner at Moscow's Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition), has conquered the musical world with his irresistible power and his insurmountable technique, as well as for the deep skepticism and the inner nature of the performances. He is modest, «Doric», and communicative with the public, a man dedicated to his art, and forged at the famed Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory.

«Nothing frightens Boris Berezovsky who plays ... with impenetrable power, security and technical perfection», Pianist Magazine.

"The only artist who can balance between skillful superhuman perfection and deeply inspired interpretive power", The London Times.

With Boris Berezovsky, the renowned Russian State Orchestra of Strings (Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra), one of the world's leading string orchestras, will appear for the first time in Greece under the musical direction Aleksei Utkin. The State Academic Chamber Orchestra, also known as the Moscow Chamber Orchestra, maintains a regular tour program on all five continents with more than 120 concerts a year and will also perform.

The concert of October 8, 2018 offers high-quality craftsmanship and expressive perfection, an event to be enjoyed by the general public as well as classical music lovers.

The event is sponsored under the Auspices of the Archbishopric of Athens, the Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport and Networks, the Ministry of Digital Policy, Telecommunications and Information, the Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy, the Athens Medical Association and the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece (KEDE). The proceeds will go to the Pan-Hellenic Association of Paraplegics. The message of the event is "Movement is culture".

Today PASPA supports over 100,000 people nationwide and serves paraplegic members in Athens, in four sites in northern Greece, in Patras in western Greece, in Argos in the southeastern Peloponnese, and Lamia in central Greece.
