The 19th International Festival of Classical Music Cyclades continues for its 19th year in the capital of the Cyclades, the enchanting Ermoupolis of Syros, with a series of 5 unique concerts from August 12th to August 19th, 2023, under the artistic direction of violinist Giannos Margaziotis.

The International Festival of Classical Music Cyclades, which was inaugurated in 2004 and has been organized since then by the Classical Music Network AMKE, under the organizational supervision of its members Fotis Karagiannopoulos, Kostas Fotopoulos, Giorgos Foufopoulos, and Giannos Margaziotis, presents an opera gala with the distinguished leading lady of the Greek National Opera Tsélia Kostéa and the internationally recognized Greek baritone Dimitris Platanias, accompanied by the pianist and composer of the GNO Sophia Tamvakopoulou, as well as three chamber music concerts with renowned musicians from Greece and abroad, such as Lars Bjornkjaer, Giannos Margaziotis (violin), Renato Ripo, Angelos Liakakis (cello), Alexia Mouza, Titos Gouvelis, Ai Motohashi (piano), and the Athens String Quartet of the Athens State Orchestra (Apollon Grammatikopoulos, Panagiotis Tziotis, Angela Giannaki, Isidoros Sideris).

As part of the Festival, a MasterClass for violin will also be held with the outstanding Armenian violinist and academic, professor Hrachya Harutyunian, which will conclude with a violin recital at the Spiritual Center of the Municipality of Ermoupolis.

One year before its twentieth anniversary, the International Festival of Classical Music Cyclades presents once again an excellent program of chamber music, operatic arias, and duets from the world classical repertoire, preparing the audience for its next anniversary event in 2024, where the Festival will celebrate 20 years of cultural contribution to the Cyclades with a special program of events.
