COSMOPOLIS FESTIVAL 2026

Cosmopolis Festival returns from July 3rd to 5th 2026, with a refreshed, three-day multi-thematic event in the Old Town of Kavala. With a modern approach and a renewed identity, Cosmopolis maintains its multicultural character, reimagining the city's relationship with public space and culture. For three days, the Old Town is transformed into a vibrant cultural map where music, arts, gastronomy, and creativity coexist, offering a complete urban experience for residents and visitors alike.

The main concerts will take place at Mehmet Ali Square, featuring great artists from the international scene:
- Amparanoia
- Tiken Jah Fakoly
- Asian Dub Foundation

The festival's line-up creates a musical journey spanning from Spain to Ivory Coast and the United Kingdom, highlighting the international and intercultural nature of the event.

At the same time, starting daily at 18:00 in selected spots across the Old Town, a rich program of activities will unfold, including: music and dance performances, exhibitions, creative workshops, audiovisual presentations and installations, DJ sets and musical interventions in public spaces, outdoor film screenings, a creators' street bazaar, and ethnic gastronomy options.

More than just a festival, COSMOPOLIS is a city experience. An open invitation to participate, explore, and connect. The Old Town of Kavala becomes a meeting point once again.

Amparanoia

One of the most influential voices of the Spanish and Latin alternative music scene, Amparanoia returns with the vibrant energy and global sound that made the project a pioneer of the "mestizo" movement. Led by singer, songwriter and activist Amparo Sánchez, Amparanoia has spent more than two decades blending flamenco, reggae, ska, Latin rhythms and world music into a powerful musical celebration of cultural diversity and social awareness. Known for their explosive live performances and warm connection with audiences, Amparanoia continues to travel the world bringing together musical traditions from both sides of the Atlantic. At Cosmopolis Festival, the band will deliver a colorful, high-energy show full of rhythm, spirit and celebration

Tiken Jah Fakoly

Tiken Jah Fakoly, a major figure on the African continent and in reggae, with several gold records, numerous awards (RFI, SACEM) and a Victoire de la Musique award to his name, is one of the most iconic figures of the African reggae scene and one of the most powerful and influential voices in contemporary reggae. His music carries both the legacy of classic Jamaican roots and a distinctly African identity, creating a sound that resonates far beyond borders.With a career spanning decades and performances at major festivals around the world, Tiken Jah Fakoly is known for his intense and energetic live shows. Backed by a full band, he delivers a powerful experience that combines rhythm, message, and stage presence.

For the first time in Greece, he brings his full live performance to Cosmopolis Festival for a special appearance in Kavala.

Asian Dub Foundation

Asian Dub Foundation's music is a genre in itself. Their unique fusion of junglist rhythms, dub basslines, wild guitars and militant rap, all rooted in their South Asian origins has led to a legendary status across the globe.

Building on a solid stage reputation in the mid-90s, they gained worldwide recognition sharing the stage with Rage Against The Machine, the Beastie Boys, and Primal Scream. On record, they've collaborated with Radiohead, Sinead O'Connor, Iggy Pop, Adrian Sherwood, and Chuck D. Furthermore, ADF was one of the first bands to seriously delve into cine -concerts, starting with their interpretation of the soundtrack of the French classic film "La Haine" in 2001.
