In March of 1963, at the "Acropol" Theater, Mikis Theodorakis presented Christos Leontis and Manos Loïzos in their debut concert, where they showcased their music and songs to the audience for the first time. Three months later, Manos Hatzidakis introduced him to the theater-loving audience with wishes and warm words in "Magiki Poli," the performance he staged with Mikis Theodorakis at the "Park" Theater.

It was the baptism of the composer Christos Leontis in the magical realm of music.

This year marks 60 years in this journey.

This occasion provides the opportunity for Christos Leontis to reunite with you and travel together again, with a unique concert at the Herod Atticus Odeon on September 26th. The performance will revisit some of the most significant moments of this sixty-year journey.

Christos Leontis writes:

"This occasion gives me the opportunity to meet with you again and travel together once more in this wonderful journey, with the weight of life on my shoulders. In this 60-year journey, the experiences were many. Through them, we dreamed, loved, and struggled... Together, we sought beauty and hope... A significant portion of these songs were written for the theater, my great love. I had the privilege to dedicate a large part of my activity to this, which gave me the chance to collaborate with remarkable artistic personalities and work with poetic texts derived from it. The songs I will present to you, with my wonderful collaborators, musicians, singers, and friends from the theater, are included either in "cycles" of songs or originate from the theater. Some of them: 'Katachnia,' 'Kapnismeno Tsoukali,' 'Proino Astro,' 'Ah! Erotas,' and from the performances 'Helidon Idomeni,' 'Cantata Eleftherias,' 'Eros Archangelos,' 'Floga pou Kei' as well as unreleased ones...

This is the most honorable and moving moment for me, the response to my invitation to TOGETHER celebrate this anniversary, marking 60 years of my musical activity. Thank you for this."

Choirs AMBITUS (taught by Katerina Vasilikou) and Dimos Kifissias and Vyrona (taught by Thanasis Arvanitis) will participate.
