SKINFLICK is a work that mirrors the consumerist, pornographic age of today. A mechanism that studies the triply reciprocal relationship between object, observer and screen. For SKINFLICK we studied the mechanism of imagery more broadly, the seriality in its (re)production, in order to move from the function of representation and content to the function of its consumption. Of course, in itself, consumption can be an extremely ambiguous process: it excites but only momentarily, it satisfies but it also sustains boredom in order for the viewer to seek it yet again. A vicious circle devouring its own self, a series of embodied, acquired identities, three parallel interpretations.

What does it mean to be present in your own body and at the same time to oversee it?

arisandmartha is the creative collaboration between dancers, performers and markers Aris Papadopoulos and Martha Pasakopoulou. Based in Athens they work in the crossroads of dance, performance and site-specific exploring togetherness, friendship and otherness on stage, while experimenting on movement and performative tools under different conceptual ideas. Flexible and open to the double identity of performer - maker their work explores the ever-occurring question of discovering new creative grounds with each performative encounter. Together they have created the works touching.just (Aerowaves 2018 selection), 5 Steps to Save the World (Athens & Epidaurus Festival 2018), Lucy. tutorial for a ritual (Athens & Epidaurus Festival 2019, 25th Kalamata International Dance Festival 2019), ALL THAT MATTER or notes on performing friendship (2022), OUT OF SPRING (2022) and 'they returned regularly, each time for more' (2023).
