The Athens Singers present:
PEACE AND JOY AT CHRISTMAS
The
Athens Singers will be performing Benjamin Britten’s Ceremony of
Carols, a modern piece based on Old English verses on the Christmas
theme and also much-loved Christmas carols, many of which will be
well-known to the audience. Refreshments will be served after the
concert.
The Athens Singers is an amateur choir made up of
singers from an international background, which has been performing in
Athens for nearly 50 years. Recent concerts include venues such as the
Parnassos Concert Hall and Megaro Mousikis.
Their present director is Roger Tilley.
