Kostas Sidirokastritis and Thanasis Tsakirakis join forces to present their first album in a concert celebration on Friday, December 1, 2023, at PLYFA.

Kostas Sidirokastritis Group - First Colour

Kostas Sidirokastritis is a singer-songwriter and street musician based in Athens. His work is an organic blend of musical genres with a focus on song and improvisation. Alongside his dear friends and collaborators Haris Charalambous (bass), Pantelis Takis (drums), and Andreas Polyzogopoulos (trumpet), and with the assistance of Grigoris Kollas in sound engineering, they recorded the first album of the Kostas Sidirokastritis Group, "First Colour." The album is a collection of 10 tracks representing the band's early work, a reference point in their journey, and an inspiration for more beautiful things to come.

Thanasis Tsakirakis - Scent Remains

Thanasis Tsakirakis is a musician based in Athens. Although widely known in the music scene as a drummer, in October 2023, he released "Scent Remains," his first work as a singer-songwriter. He wrote the music, lyrics, sang, and played most of the instruments. Recording and production were handled by Fotis Papatheodorou and Page Blank. Artists like Radiohead, Porcupine Tree, Jeff Buckley, Elliott Smith, and many others influenced the album's style. The songs are an open dialogue with our nostalgic instincts, a mantra to avoid romanticizing passion, and an attempt to analyze, understand, and accept life's changing pages. The entire "Scent Remains" and a selection of songs that influenced its creation will be performed live by Thanasis Tsakirakis, accompanied by an excellent band of creative collaborators.
