Is the concept of the “nation” the last functional construct of modernism or a violent emotion-based union? Two actors identify its influence on their own lives; the imprint of a lineage that they did not choose.

House-made, directed by the internationally active Giorgos Valais, endeavours to record experiences that bear witness to international developments and phenomena in Greece, Europe and the world at the time of yet another transformation in progress today. It approaches crucial issues and challenges for todayΆs societies through identity and otherness.

This new production was presented by the GNTΆs Experimental Stage -1 at the “War or Peace - Crossroads of History 1918/2018” festival held in October 2018 at the Maxim Gorki Theatre in Berlin.
