The Bavarian State Ballet II/Junior Company passed its litmus test with flying colors: Within the first years of its existence (founded in 2010), 18 ballets ranging from Petipa and Balanchine to avant-garde choreographies by Richard Siegal and Simone Sandroni came to form the company's current repertoire with which the Junior Company has not only toured Germany, but half of Europe.
The 16 members receive an excellent additional education from outstanding international pedagogues, gain crucial experience while working with the main ensemble, learn a range of group and soloist roles, study canonical ballets, create pieces together with contemporary choreographers and tour extensively.
The Bavarian State Ballett II is a cooperation between the Bavarian State Ballet (Artistic Director Ivan Liška), the Ballet Academy of the University for Music and the Performing Arts Munich and the Heinz-Bosl-Foundation.
