Goodbye, Lindita tells the story of a family and the house where they live, where a series of strange events bring to the surface a hidden world made up of dreams and nightmares, an upside-down fairy-tale reality with its own rules. The family come face to face with death and a mysterious door that has, until now, remained tightly shut. What needs to happen for the final farewell to take place? How can life go on? What does (this) death mean?

Mario Banushi, a multitalented young artist who brings a personal, handcrafted visual world to the theatre, has been inspired by the history of the Balkans and its burial customs and traditions to create a performance centred on loss. The characters resort to speech only when necessary and the narrative is structured around a sequence of associated images that link the state of mourning with a new birth. The production is a modern fairy tale, a parable about life after the death of a loved one.
