The presentation of the great Turkish poet Nazim Hikmet's work A cloud in love (Sevdal? Bulut) comes to the Alternative Stage.

This music work, composed by Sofia Kamayianni to a libretto by Eleni Zafeiriou, will be presented with the participation of the Rosarte Chorus, under the artistic direction of Rosie Mastrosavva.

Among his other works Nazim Hikmet also wrote short stories inspired from his country's tradition. They come in the form of didactic fairy tales targeted at children of all ages. A cloud in love is one of these stories, which is however full of meaning, human values, lofty thoughts and exalted feelings.

The Rosarte Chorus will have a leading role in the performance, as writer-narrator, and an active participation in the work's flow, which uses as a vehicle of expression the poetic and rife with refined elements libretto. As to the music style, lyricism and tenderness alternate with rhythmic dynamism, and everything is combined with a modern language of timbres.
