J. Brahms: Scherzo in E flat minor, Op. 4
                  7 Fantasies, Op. 116
R. Schumann and J. Brahms are among the most emblematic individuals of German musical romanticism.
The selection of works from Schumann's creative phase during which he was still composing exclusively pieces for the piano (1838) includes Kinderszenen, a representative and intelligent work that uses small composition form, full of fantastical images, poetic truth and innocence, as well as Sonata no 2, a piece with an attractive romantic momentum, which is relatively short and approached with a classic structure.
Brahms, the unsurpassed master of the counterpoint and thematic craft, had already with his early work, Scherzo Op. 4, shown indisputable signs of authorship.
At the pinnacle of his recognition, he composed in 1892 the 7 Fantasies, Op. 116, submitting messages of loneliness through extremely extroverted piano lyricisms.
